Kuopio War Veterans’ Museum

Tulliportinkatu 37 D, Kuopio

Depicts the lives of Finnish war veterans before and during the wars.

Open: Jun 4 – Aug 28 Fri-Sun 12 noon – 4 pm.

Entrance fees: €5/ adult, €4/ groups per person, €2/ students, unemployed, pensioners, veterans, children.

Buildings and artefacts representing living in the countryside.

Local arts-and-crafts museum of Vehmersalmi

Pappilantie 10, Vehmersalmi

Open: Jun 18 – Aug 7 Sat – Sun 11 am – 2 pm.

Riuttala Farmhouse Museum

Riuttalantie 719, Karttula

An original farmstead dating back to the 19th century. Finland’s largest grain-drying barn, exceptionally large grain storehouse from the slash-and-burn era, windmill, morgue shed, smoke sauna.

Open: Jun 18 – Aug 14 Wed – Sun 12 noon – 5 pm.

Entrance fees: €5/ adult, €3/ children 7 – 15 yrs.
