Tervo

Tervo is known for its salmon. Less than an hour’s drive from Kuopio, it’s a popular destination for cabin holidays, fishing and boating. Its pristine waters are part of the Rautalampi route, which extends all the way to Päijänne and Lahti via the Neituri and Keitele canals. Churning right through the heart of Tervo, Äyskoski is one of the best trout rapids in Europe.
