Kiuruvesi

Kiuruvesi is number one municipality in agricultural production in Finland. It is an active country town in the midst of vivacious countryside. Those arriving by boat from Saimaa take a direction to Kiuruvesi through Iisalmi-Runni-Kiuruvesi water route. Lush coutryside scenes pass by, and there are several convenient moorings along the way. A pop and rock festival Iskelmäniityt gathers the favourite pop artists and the great names of the Finnish rock music to perform for multitudes of fans. There are about 10,000 inhabitants in Kiuruvesi.
